To make sure the paper gets printed in high quality, The Yomiuri Shimbun runs 29 printing plants, featuring advanced technologies, such as Color Quality Control (CQC) and high definition, high line density, computer-to-plate printing (CTP). Not surprisingly, around the world The Yomiuri is known for its superlative printing. In 2002 and 2005, Yomiuri received the IFRA Best in Print Gold Award with the highest printing quality in Asia.
Every day, The Yomiuri Shimbun is delivered by 90,000 deliverers who make up The Yomiuri Shimbun's highly reliable delivery network, belonging to 7,600 Yomiuri Centers (YC) or distribution points around Japan. The YC network is what enables the paper to maintain its massive daily circulation of 10 million.
